To what extent are autoimmune patients willing to try alternative therapies (medicine for self-healing)?

Patients with chronic diseases, including autoimmune diseases, first turn to conventional medicine; having not found a satisfactory solution, they seek alternative therapies in self-healing medicine. The tremendous growth in alternative therapies stems from the inadequate results of modern medicine in treating chronic and autoimmune diseases. Doctors often disapprove of a patient's attempts to seek medical attention for self-healing. The phenomenon is mainly due to a lack of openness!
