Are Electronic Cigarettes less harmful than Smoking Cigarettes?

It is essential to emphasize that electronic cigarettes are not a substitute for smoking cessation. There is no uniformity in the various manufacturers' materials in the e-cigarettes. One might think so, but studies show that the vaporizing material in some e-cigarettes is formaldehyde, which is suspected to be carcinogenic.

Since the electronic cigarette market is relatively unregulated (until recently), there is no regulation, and it is difficult to say whether electronic cigarettes, which do not contain nicotine, are preferable. Comprehensive medical research and transparency are needed, which is currently lacking.
