I am a 55-year-old patient with IBD in a severe condition. I do not understand why luck betrayed me and made me get such a terrible disease?

I participate in your sense of loss, but there is no luck here. The human body never acts randomly. Well-known physicist Albert Einstein said (in another context) that God does not play dice! (luck) A closer look at all the gastrointestinal tract chronic inflammatory diseases reveals one common denominator - an unbalanced intestinal flora that creates a very acidic environment that allows the proliferation of pathogens that severely burden the immune system. Surgeries and drugs cannot cure Crohn's disease or Ulcerative colitis. Recovery is achievable only by strengthening the immune system. (Body, Mind, and Spirit)
