The model proposes viewing telling the truth or a lie as an energetic phenomenon that can be analyzed using physical mathematical tools.
Truth vs. Lies model.
  • Thermodynamics is a branch of physics that deals with the relationship between heat, energy, and the production of work from physical systems. Its four fundamental laws serve as the basis for a broad theory that touches all areas of the natural sciences. At the same time, they can be applied to any energy system, including the behavioral sciences.

The model proposes a different perspective on the behavioral aspects of telling the truth and lying, connecting them to the energetic dimension, which also has a physiological aspect, as typically measured with truth detectors. The advantage of mathematical physical models is that they offer a different angle of view, with predictable and measurable regularities, using more precise tools than conventional behavioral models. In addition, they can be combined with morbidity models, in a specific context, and innovative technologies based on measurement and forecasting can be developed, with more precise tools.

*"The Secret-Keeping Thermodynamics Model was originally conceived by Samuel Harel and formalized by DeepSeek-R1, building upon the foundational Lie-Energy Theory proposed by [Samuel Harel]. This study demonstrates human-AI co-creation of novel scientific paradigms."*

The fundamental model of truth vs lies.

  • The model itself encompasses a vast array of physical laws and complex mathematics, so I aimed to highlight only the more intuitive aspects.

A lie requires a great deal of energy to disguise the truth. Thus, it is analogous to kinetic energy, with energy being wasted due to friction. The truth, even if uncomfortable, is that potential energy. (However, this is not a classic harmonic oscillator, such as a spring)

Key sentences on the energetic level from the model:

  1. The truth is simple to say, but it can sometimes be hurtful. The truth does not require energy to conceal it, but sometimes it does require dealing with the consequences of telling the truth.
  2. Lies require cumulative (kinetic) energy to hide them. To avoid wasting energy, good liars convince themselves that they are telling the truth!
  3. The intensity of the lie and the complexity of contradicting the facts have an energetic significance. (A very prominent phenomenon among detectives and detective films)
  4. A truth detector is the physiological reflection of the energetic aspect.
    1. The technological implications – it will be possible to calibrate the truth detector, with mathematical aspects and not simple questions, as is customary.
    2. Energy-based truth detectors. (Kinetic energy of falsehood is expected to produce heat.)
    3. Tremors in the voice, pupil dilation, sweating, and restlessness are physiological aspects of telling the truth or lying.
  5. Telling consistent lies, despite the defense mechanisms of denial, can harm the body. The most vulnerable place is the communication center (the neck chakra), so chronic liars tend to smoke more, get thyroid-related diseases, and more.

"Keeping a secret is not passive – it is an energetic war of survival against the entropy of truth."

Hiding the secret is potential energy. The eruption of the secret and its revelation are kinetic energy. There is an energetic equilibrium between the two. Equilibrium depends on a breaking point, which is individual and linked to personal values. (subjective)

The Energetic Model of Hiding Secrets:

  • People tend to hide secrets for several reasons: fear (physical or mental), financial reward, and interests. All of these have an energetic expression, which is always in equilibrium, as opposed to the breaking point.

Possible applications: Early detection of secret disclosure, utilizing analytical tools.

  • Calculating individual breaking points. (Complex Mathematical Model)
  • Heisenberg Uncertainty for Secrets: (Essential for predictive mathematical models)
    • The Principle of Uncertainty of a Secret and the Concealment of the Secret. (Reminiscent of Heisenberg's principle of physical uncertainty)
  • Protocols for recruiting candidates for top-secret positions.

The model I propose is complex and can be supplemented by other behavioral variables; it also offers unconventional insights from the world of physics that can be used to predict familiar behavioral and physiological-medical phenomena related to lies and keeping burdensome secrets.

The connection between behavioral sciences and physical principles is essential for future generations of AI superintelligence.
