I am a 55-year-old gay man; I recently separated for good from my partner for the last 17 years and had a nervous breakdown. I feel lonely.

The phenomenon of loneliness is not unique to the LGBT community. Still, it is a frequent issue among community members, mainly because of the differences in the family unit. Loneliness is one of the most severe problems of the 21st century. Do not live alone! If you can change your residence, you should move to a place where you feel accepted and loved. If you have the option, I recommend adopting a pet. (It is important to remember that a pet is a responsibility) Pets return unconditional love.
