Discussion: Alixin, My (Chinese) wife, experienced smoking cessation at a relatively old age, which took more than six months. The list of symptoms with explanations is described.

The trigger that caused my wife to quit smoking (she was a light smoker) was her brother, who had lung cancer, and of course, a massive encouragement on my part.

If I summarize my wife's rehab process, I emphasize that it was all worth it! It was a little hard for her to go to the dentist to clean up the nicotine stains because it is a significant barrier against smoking in the future, but I am happy that my wife succeeded.
