Loneliness is widespread among alcoholics because it often causes the breakdown of close relationships (mistakenly perceived as self-destruction), and the coronavirus only exacerbates the situation. Make every effort to avoid loneliness. Find a relationship, volunteer for the community, or move near your children, family, or friends. If you are in your senior year, move to a nursing home. Adopt a pet; they return love unconditionally.
