How can unresolved traumatic events from the past be identified?

Unresolved traumatic events are most often stored in the subconscious Mind. This is because of self-defense. The approach to subconsciousness is often involuntarily blocked, so it is tough for most of us to recreate the same traumatic unresolved events we have experienced. Unresolved traumatic events may be perceived by us today as non-dramatic; they were very significant at the time of the incident. The severity of the events is entirely subjective and has no fixed index. Traumatic events that we internalize and digest, such as the death of a family member, may not create trauma in some of us, but in others, a terrible trauma.
