Are TV series showing events in hospitals true to reality?

TV series are mainly designed to attract viewers, being an entertainment tool with an economic consideration based on ratings. The various scenes are staged with the help of doctors and have reliable medical information, but the ending, however painful, always leaves the viewer empathetic. Even death is seen as pain-relieving and inevitable. The scenes are always exhausted within the time allotted for an episode in the series. (usually up to an hour) In the complex medical reality, this is not the case. Doctors are much less available, and emergency rooms are not similar to what is described in the emergency room series.
