Why smoking cessation often leads to gaining weight?

The explanation does not stem only from the fact that nicotine suppresses appetite. The cause for weight gain during smoking cessation is the energetic dimension. Smoking and eating are associated at the energetic level with the fifth energy center (the throat chakra), which is responsible for communication. When the person quits smoking, he compensates energetically through eating.
