Gallbladder - a small organ that can cause serious health problems in fibromyalgia patients. (Especially in women)

The gallbladder has an increased tendency to become clogged with gallstones, especially in women. The phenomenon is explained by hormonal fluctuations, which are very common in women (menstruation, births, birth control pills), and an unhealthy diet. Obstructions in the bile ducts are common in fibromyalgia patients who tend to perform the (fundamentally wrong) surgical solution of removing the gallbladder. (Which does not solve the problem of fibromyalgia)

The gallbladder stores the bile and releases it when needed for the duodenum, mainly to digest and emulsify fatty foods. Blockage of the gallbladder violates the acid-base balance in the gut and affects the entire immune system. The most common symptoms are constipation, flatulence, nail or vaginal fungus, (in women) headaches, sinusitis, cough, and general weakness due to a load on the immune system. In acute situations, inflammation of the gallbladder causes sharp pain.
