Why do women on average have an increased tendency compared to men to develop gallstones? (How does this relate to migraines?)

Fluctuations in female sex hormone levels are a significant factor, along with an unhealthy diet contributing to the formation of gallstones. The leading causes of hormonal fluctuations are births, birth control pills, and a woman's menopause. Gallbladder infections have a dramatic effect on migraines. The explanation is that the gall bladder's energy channel (meridian) passes through areas in the head and ends near the eyes.
