A friend told me that drinking natural pear juice can "cure" alcoholism?

Drinking natural pear juice helps in the side effects of a hangover, probably by preventing the formation of a breakdown product of alcohol (acetaldehyde) that causes the known side effects. This is a recommended symptomatic solution but does not cause alcohol addicts to change their drinking habits.
