We tend to turn to psychologists to deal with bothersome problems. The challenging issues that cause illness and addictions are subconscious, which psychologists can often not penetrate using standard techniques.

Particularly relevant for young COPD patients and children. Visiting psychologists does not solve health problems that originate in the subconscious.

Psychological treatments tend to be prolonged. Routine psychological treatment is usually unable to penetrate the conscious mind. The approach to the subconscious mind is deliberately locked. Crises we are aware of, residing in the conscious, are solvable even if they are traumatic. The techniques that allow intrusion into the consciousness are meditation, hypnosis, and self-psychoanalysis methods, practices that in the West do not have enough emphasis on.
