Discussion: I highly recommend smokers meet face-to-face with patients suffering from pulmonary emphysema.

During my studies at the university, I worked as a paramedic in an ambulance, and I often accompanied patients with emphysema to hospitals. One session with a patient with pulmonary emphysema may cause you to quit smoking! The suffering is unbelievable. At a later age, I watched my father die of lung disease (Ironically, my father never smoked) and severe breathing difficulties! Maybe the fear will make you realize that smoking is not just fun!
