Surprisingly, conventional modern medicine does not have a unifying philosophy or theory as does traditional Chinese or Ayurvedic (Indian) medicine.
The two dominant philosophical approaches to medicine, conventional modern medicine & self-medicine, have many strengths and considerable weaknesses.
