There are simple tests online where you will answer four critical questions in tests, such as the cage test. I think you should know the answer for yourself, without a test. Alcohol addiction means that satisfaction from drinking alcohol cannot be denied or postponed. At any hour of the day or night, there is an uncontrollable urge to drink an alcoholic beverage. (The amount consumed is not a good measure of addiction.)
Addiction is a compulsive, repetitive action that, over time, causes harm to the addict or the environment (or both) that the addict is aware of, except that they do not control the addiction. The reward mechanism of addiction is far more potent than any means of logic and persuasion.
